The Spa Experience

Today I had a three hour taste of the good life..Firas' sisters got Firas and me a facial at the hoity toity Cleopatra Spa in Wafi City Dubai. Let me tell you this is the life I was made for. I vowed that I will take weekly treatments went we came to Adu Dhabi next year. Amazing! When you all visit I will take you. I have been reading a new book..In Search of Fatima. A must read. This is a really interesting story of a Palestinian girl in the 1940s when it began being occupied. Firas' mom was also born during this time. Actually she was born on the street while fleeing Palestine to Lebanon. Her mother could not carry her any further after her birth from being so exhausted that she was forced to leave her under a tree. Her brother could not leave her there so he went back and picked her up and carried her the rest of the way. She really has an amazing story. We as American citizen have no idea how lucky we are. His family has been glued to the tv these last few days watching the tragedy unfold again between the Palestinians and the Jews. It is really sad. These are innocent children being killed. We should all be praying for peace. War is never the answer. Just a thought. Love and miss you all.

Merry Christmas

I am missing you all terribly. Today we went to the Four Seasond Golf Club where the views of the Dubai skyline we unbelievable. I could not get over the size of the Burj Dubai compared to the other skyscrapers. Absolutely beautiful. I drew a picture of a Christmas tree, taped it to the wall and put a few wrapped gifts for Adam under. It wasn't quite the same but better than nothing. I feel sad......
Sorry I have not been in touch with anyone the last few days, as Holly has added, a ship severed a cable in the Med. Sea causing all sorts of internet problems. I was forced to read the paper to keep up with what is going on in the news.
Life is fun, easy and loving in Dubai.... Today I held my own remembering in my heart that Jesus is the reason for the season..this I know. May you all have had a wonderful Christmas with your families. God Bless.

Dubai

Heather, Firas, Adam and Maya are all safe in Dubai. They went to Atlantis at the Palms yesterday. Heather said it was beautiful. Google "Atlantis Palms Dubai photos" for ariel photos. It's amazing!

Their Internet and email are down because a line was cut in the Mediterranean Sea from a ship dragging it's anchor. They will be back in London Jan. 3rd.

Have a happy and safe holiday!

Change of plans.

Firas has decided that it is important that I go to the HydrogenEnergy Christmas party so he moved my flight...right after I told Adam I would be there in the morning when he woke up. It will be ok thought, I am starting to think neither of them notice I am not there. They are being spoiled by Firas' parents...imagine the joy of my life in January. So I am off to the mall. Its a dress to impress affair, me in a big girlie dress.... should be interesting. I'll let you know what I find. Oh, now I will be going to Dubai on Thursday, hopfully Firas will get a seat out with me. I could get used to all this sleeping and shopping.

Lucky Me?

Today as I was sitting having coffee outside the wall of Windsor Castle(meters from the Queen of England), I was thinking...I have one child in the US and two in Dubai, both being well taken care of, and I had just purchased my new favorite pair of sunglasses...Am I lucky or what? I miss you all!

Back in London

I've arrived. The flight was empty. Only 6 hrs 13 min. I watched The Women...not good! I slept most of the day. I forgot how comfy my bed here is. Firas and I drove around this evening and found the cutest little town, I just love the look of the homes and stores in England. So many cute pubs and speciality shops.
We searched for flights to get to Dubai sooner but they are completely booked. I will just have to wait until Wednesday to see my little ones. I'll just have to sleep and watch Frasier(the only show I recognize here) for the next three days. I might have to do a little shopping.
Thank you so much to my friends(especially Marcie, Kathy and Lynne), mom and Holly for all your help the last few day, I love you all so much and would not have been able to do it without you.
