I miss Holly!

I miss...

My home, my wonderful friends, my family, my furniture, all my shows, diet mountain dew, the gym, my kitchen, my kids sleeping on their own, Delani being happy, doing Kathy's hair, stopping by Lynne's, the Gap, Levis, Roachton road, my dyson, watching out my front window, laying on my living room floor, Marcies kids, dropping my kids at Marcies when I needed a break, American food, Giant Eagle, Fiber-one bars, TARGET!, Lanis friends, sitting in my garage at night with friends, Columbia Winery Resling, complaining to Kathy for hours while she entertained the kids, Shamas, driving on the other side of the road. I could go on forever. Firas told me to relax I have only been gone a month and a half but it feels like forever. I'm homesick.

Hamleys

We had a nice weekend out. We took the kids to Hamleys in London, the largest toy store in UK, it was seven stories high. Then we took Lani around to see all the sights. It was nice. Lani was moody but I suppose that is the life of a nine year old these days. I have been enjoying the spa. I went yesterday and did not even work out, I just sat poolside reading my book. Lynne, did you find that book I suggested. I just finished. I loved it, mom says shes having a hard time getting into it. Lani is doing division in math. Firas works with her every night. Lots of tears. Funny cuz I remember a couple of years ago when he would help me with statistics and I would sit there and cry. Gosh that's been six years ago. I just went to check on Maya and she is smashing salt and vinegar chips in her mouth...all over her face. Firas would be proud. She is cutting teeth and is quite miserable. Adam is picking up English terms from TV. He said yesterday he wanted to go out to play in the garden. We talk everyday about putting him in school but we are not sure what is going on with Firas' job. More than likely we will be moving to Waybridge somtime after April. We are hoping to hold out the move til Lani finishes in July. Who knows....I have to go clean up Maya..she looks a bit oily. Miss you all to much.

Rain, Rain here to stay.

This place is freakin depressing. Rainy and dark. For crying out loud I want to come home. I don't care if it is 25 below at least you can see the difference between night and day. I'm home sick. Anyone want to come to my pity party?

Nirvana

Finally a reason to live in the UK. My new spa membership. Its amazing!! Drop the kids off in the creche, and off to the award-winning spa(they say that every other line in the brochure). I would rather be back in Perrysburg at the Y with my friends, but this will do if I have to stay. You should see these pools. One for relaxation, one for fitness, and one gigantic theraputic pool, as well as these amazing tiled lounge chair (heated) in a quiet room with soothing sounds of water and..blah..blah. You get it, its amazing. I wish you were all here to share it with me. We would never get anything done or see or kids if we had this in Perrysburg. Guess you are all gonna have to come visit and come with me. Miss you all so much.

Not the Traditional Zoo.

Saturday we were off to the zoo. Firas had found one online about an hour north. The weather was nice at home but when we got up there it was quite a bit colder. The animals were really spread out over this big farmland. We walked through the mud to see a few and gave up. Not really worth 75$ but an experience.

Going Crazy!

Maya is driving me crazy. Marcie..Cathy where are you? I need help. Im gonna put her outside the door someone come get her. After four Lani will probably be there to. I need a break. No chance so I will sit here, watch reruns of Frasier, eat a snickers and drink my second diet coke...all before nine. Miss you all.

Lani is taking French, ballet, drama (she will be in a festival in Feb), advanced math and playing hockey. We are so proud..nice to see where our money is going.

Lani had her first day of school today.. She looked beautiful. She seemed a little nervous, but the other girls were very kind to her. They were excited about the "new girl from the states". We are going on Saturday to the Hampton Palace to see where Henry the 8th lived....love the history in this country. Today I miss diet Mountain Dew.

MK in the UK

Yeah, Marcie and Lani arrived on Saturday. It was great to see both of them. Busy Busy! Marcie took a quick nap and we were off to Windsor Castle. We spent the day touring the castle and cruising shops. We woke early Sat morning and we went into London. I drove! We parked at Harrods and walked from 9 am til 6 pm, other then a 2 hour mistake on the tube... apparently Edgware Road and Edgware the city are two different places. We saw everything! I started complaining about freezing(I couldn't feel my legs), my legs hurting and being hungry after about 4 hours, but Marcie was determined to see it all...and we did. I actually saw things I have never seen. We had so much fun...Marcie I love you to death. She came with gifts, helped me organize the house and take care of the kids. Monday we continued to organize and Lani and Marcie went to the Oracle to shop and wonder around. Her flight was Tuesday morning early so now here I am. Reality sets in. I am living in the UK. Lani starts school tomorrow. We are going out tonight to buy her extremely expensive uniforms. Kathy and Lynn where are you???? Miss and love you all.
