Off to the Abbey
Lani had her first day of school today.. She looked beautiful. She seemed a little nervous, but the other girls were very kind to her. They were excited about the "new girl from the states". We are going on Saturday to the Hampton Palace to see where Henry the 8th lived....love the history in this country. Today I miss diet Mountain Dew.

Did you take pictures of Lani? I am so proud of her! This is such an exciting time! Poor Heather and the Dew withdrawal.... Did you try that Fanta stuff yet? It sorta of reminded me of Mountain Dew, Lani had it on Monday at the restaurant... I think today I will have recovered from my adventure. I went to bed last night at 8:30 and am here now at 7:30 typing to you. The girls are on 2 hour delay because of the snow and ice. OH! We played Mario Kart last night, tell Adam thank you for the lessons I did well against the girls... it was fun!

Hey! I'd like to see pics of Lani in her uniform too! Praying for her and that her day goes well and the other girls continue to make her feel like part of the group!
ReplyDeleteMy kids have a delay also! We're just hanging out and watching SpongeBob. Brian's still on the couch, I guess he has a delay too! I haven't left my house since Monday. I'm itching to go somewhere alone. Maybe to the store!

It's good to hear Lani's first day went well. I'm sure it was scary at first but what a great experience for her. Not many girls can say they studied overseas for a while. At least not at her age! How close is Adam from going to school?

Adam will start school soon at the private school for boys down the street, we just wanted to wait a few weeks for him to get adjusted..he has been traveling since earley November. I’m sorry I haven’t been home when you have tried to call. Oops, that’s right, you haven’t call me! My bad!!! What is up with that. you have been gone a month and not a word, it just sucks. (ha, ha) I love the pictures though, keep them coming. Lani going to private girls school in London. Oh, how I wish I could see her there. Adam and Maya look adorable from the pictures in Dubai. ReplyDeleteWe are all good, just had a weekend of 8-10 in. of snow. Kids had fun, we had everyone over for soup and watched the NFL football game on Saturday night. Kathy told us she talked to you on the phone. I am working a bit, just filled in 3 days at Toth in music, that was fun. Today I caught up on my DVR shows all morning. I am reading an okay book, but I think I will find the one you are reading at the library and start it instead. Give Firas, and the kids a big hug from me. I will send you pictures of the kids in the snow.

Lani is doing ok...threating to leave everytime she doesnt get here own way. Hope your taking care of Kath. Shed roll her eyes if she read that but we all need girls in our lives. If you know of any in my area send them my way, Im desperate and Firas just isnt cutting it. I miss the shows in the US and am jealous when you talk of your dvr. I never thought Id say this but Im sick Frasier. Seriosly there is nothing on and those damn copywrite laws keep me from watching them online. How is Lisa give her my blog address please. ReplyDeleteHi, it's Thursday and I was suppose to sub today, but they cancelled school at Eastwood. So I am home again for the 4th day this week. I had to shop yesterday, so I thought of you. Jacob's zipper broke as he was gong to school and he had to call me from school crying taht he wanted me to come and get him, he just wanted to come home because he zipper broke. It broke myheart, but I had to tell him no, that I would go buy a new coat and put it in his locker. As I was dropping it off, Ms. Barkley said he just told his teacher that he was afraid I had an accident because the roads were so bad. He was glad to see me and told me to be careful on the way home. Today, he said he didn't want a new sweatshirt like the boys got because he didn't want me to go anywhere in the car. He is such a doll. So I am home and bored silly. I have watched so many episodes of West Wing. I am scrapbooking this Saturday all day in Findlay with my girlfriend WEndy. I am excited about that. Well Lani looked absolutely precious in her school uniform. Now hopefully you want have a crying little girl in the morning with nothing to wear. Keep your chin up girlfriend.
